boozemail.jpgfor those in the know, facebook has moved on from being “the next big thing” to being everyone’s social networking staple. didntcha know? even mr. t has graced its pages with his esteemed presence. corporations, fictional characters, celebs, and everything else under the sun are making themselves heard (our personal favourites being tag and palate palette), we wonder if it’s time for bib to jump on the bandwagon. so, get on those toes people and send us some feedback!

monty-python.pngjust for a change in pace/direction/staying clear from work, this is a light-hearted posting brought to you by the letters o, m, and g. a compendium of 150 monty python skits may not mean much to compulsive facebookers, but for those repeatedly butting their heads against that creative mental block, perhaps a little british humour may help with that “breaking out of the box.” also recommended, “bits of fry and laurie.” especially hilarious at 4am after a few shots of vodka.

n639170910_466927_6503.jpgwith some great detective work and snooping (and an announcement by his royal highness) we found abhinav’s two cents on, you guessed it, the digital revolution and its impact on advertising. check out the accompanying picture of him staring broodingly into his vaio webcamera. rather apt, no? as for the article, it was, quote, the author’s own view… so we’ll leave it up to the reader’s own interpretation, yes?

19 11 2007

img_0351.JPGa handful of us gathered in a quiet part of damansara heights. having given the secret handshake and the multiple passwords, we were escorted into the fairy garden where, thanks to “malaysian time” we were knocking back hard liquor for a good hour waiting for the bride’s grand arrival. (the groom was there early, palms sweating, knotting and re-knotting his tie.) food was excellent, drinks flowed freely, and the smiling couple did some interesting things with a pear.

anyway, congrats to tj and noelle! may fairytale beginnings lead to your “happily ever after.”

dsc00356.JPGfor some “deliberately” lo-fi, grainy shots of the bates141 gang banging balls in the alley logon to breakfastinbates.com and go to the gallery… sure sure, blame it on the non-participating drunk for such shots…

generous clients dragged us kicking and screaming from work, and injected into us a dose of culture. on we trudged to istana budaya (box seats no less) for the retelling of p. ramlee’s life, loves, and inspirations (for those who may not know of the great man himself, google is your friend).

the musical score was contemporary and surprisingly enjoyable. but what really stole the stage was, well, the stage. split screen ok? a smoke-spewing locomotive, and a glorious 50s setup. we would also tell you to check out the sizzling, scorching chemistry between ‘remy’ and ’sally’, but word has it that it’s a full house till saturday.

Here’s a less self-indulgent review for those who missed it.
