the 141 gang took good care of mead johnson’s enfagrow a+ smart 10 system launch, having the lil’ ones themselves run the show, from emcee-ing to starring in the video to performing the launch gambit. talk about starting them young.
if thom yorke was a malaysian and radiohead came from johor bahru, they’d be called laila’s lounge. back in the scene after a self-imposed hiatus, they were spotted recently wah-wah-ing their trademark sounds at little havana and kl jam asia. catch them if you can.
how does one be at kl, jb, penang and kelantan at the same time? mobilize the whole office. no wonder julian, wai kuan, jia wei, lim and god knows who else were hardly around during the levi’s 501 day roadshow. go outstation, live in hotels, eat good food… tough job, but someone’s gotta do it.
about time. bates141 is working tighter than ever as a unit and the renovation can only bring everyone closer. once the facelift is complete, we’re pretty sure some housewarming will happen. apparently a coffee cum reading (aka lepak) area with a playstation (fingers crossed) is being developed too. we shall see.
new blood always makes a good ingredient for cooking up hot office goss. and what could possibly be better recipe than the addition of nice hard-working young suits and copious amounts of alcohol? from the look of things, not much. somehow we forsee a very interesting company trip ahead.

amidst running about pretending to look busy while bumming free drinks off the production house, the team managed to churn out a fairly decent tvc. if we do say so ourselves.
honda’s Fuel Efficiency Automobil Test flagged off participants at the main office and the scenic route took them up cameron highlands, all the way to bukit merah, and back. the winning team covered 662km with only 25.29 liters of petrol… that’s about 7 cents per km! hey, if you doubt us, ask rick kee and the honda gang for proof.
right on muse’s heels, sneaking through the country’s tight-assed censorship and raining on benjy’s parade, punk rockers nofx pumped up the volume in ruum’s kl. sitting politely through the opening acts, the crowd turned hooligan (not without a little help from one antagonising fat mike) the way only a malaysian mob could.
